April Newsletter

Happy Spring!

We have gotten into a nice flow with group classes, but we will continue to tweak the schedule as time goes on to serve our members and work for our instructors.

April Studio News:

New Reformer

  • Early in March we got a new Reformer, which makes 4 in the Reformer Room! This means that many classes still have some openings. If you've been wanting to try Reformer Pilates, now is the time! You can sign up for a group class the same way you would GroupX, or text or email me and we'll get together privately to get you started, then have you join a group class.

  • Main differences with Reformer classes vs GroupX

    • Reformer classes are smaller- max 4 people

    • Most Reformer people come to the same class or classes each week on a reservation basis. This means when you find a class you want to keep coming to, I sign you up for a couple months at a time, and you just tell me if you can't come on a certain day. Otherwise it's assumed you'll be there. This ensures you have a spot in the class you want. This reservation basis is not required. Some of my Reformer people with variable schedules sign up for classes as their schedule allows just like GroupX.

    • The format of these classes is more like group Personal Training. I am able to spend more time with each client, adjust form, and adjust difficulty.

Join the Fit Co Members Group on Facebook!

This is private group for those that attend group classes at Elevate. So whether you do Reformer Pilates, Hot Yoga, Senior Strength + Balance, or any other class, join the group to give feedback, connect with other members and instructors, and have a say in the classes we schedule!

Summer Schedule

We are brainstorming schedule changes for group classes this summer and want your feedback! There will be polls posted on social media (especially the members group) Where you can let us know what classes you want and when. The main structure of the schedule will likely stay the same, but we are considering adding a Women's Summer Strength Series starting in June that would include weightlifting and bootcamp-style classes. We are also considering a Walk/Run Club or Couch to 5k Program as a group class where the runs would start at Elevate, with planned workouts provided by instructors. We are planning these classes for mostly early morning, but want to know if you want afternoon/evening options! What do you think?
