Hi! I'm Katie, and I am the founder, owner, and lead instructor at Elevate Fit Co! This studio started in fall of 2020 in a 100 square foot office space as Katie Farrell Yoga & Pilates, then just 4 months later I moved in with Emily at Elevate Wellness and Physical Therapy, and we've been teamed up since! I continued teaching one-on-one and small group Reformer Pilates as the studio grew through 2025. We are now in Elevate's new building in McCook! The little studio has now expanded as Elevate Fit Co to a large space for Reformer Pilates, as well as a separate GroupX room for group fitness classes including yoga, hot yoga, mat Pilates, HIIT with weights, and more! The larger Elevate group includes Physical Therapy, Personal Training, a medical clinic (Elevate Health), Massage Therapy, Chiropractic (308 Chiropractic), a sauna, a gym open to members, and more!
I took my first yoga class at the age of 19, and I have been hooked ever since! I look and feel my best when I am regularly practicing yoga and Pilates, and that is enough incentive for me to keep it up for a lifetime. I began teaching yoga in 2013 while in college and working in a physical therapy clinic. A physical therapist introduced me to Pilates and I discovered a whole new way for people to become healthier, happier, and live pain free. When I saw how much it helped people, I wanted in! I became a certified STOTT Pilates instructor in 2014, and began teaching physical therapy rehab patients, post-rehab clients, community members, and athletes.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in 2014 with my Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Health Science, with a minor in Psychology. In order to be truly healthy, we need a balanced life- mind, body, and spirit!
I'm a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) with Yoga Alliance. That means I have completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training through the most widely recognized authority on training yoga teachers in the country, Yoga Alliance. I'm a certified STOTT Pilates instructor with over 150 hours of training with STOTT instructor trainers. There are multiple education methods for Pilates instructors, but STOTT is the best because they are constantly adapting their teaching to the latest research in health and fitness, so that instructors like me can bring the best and safest benefit to our clients!

I became a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2023. As a CPT, I enjoy adding weight training and teaching proper movement mechanics to my clients so they can feel confident when working out solo as well as in the studio.

I became a Certified Nutrition Coach in 2024, and as a health coach, I focus on teaching clients basic nutrition principles and simple lifestyle changes to get started living healthier. Good nutrition, sleep hygiene, movement, posture, and stress management can make a huge difference when trying to live a healthier life!

I am a big believer in the importance of free time and enjoying hobbies. In my free time, I love to watch my daughter discover the world, jog with my dog, and spend time in the garden. My husband, Chris, and I enjoy spending time outside as a family. We go camping and travel as often as we can.

I am honored to be back in my hometown sharing something I love with the community I grew up in. I'm passionate about making McCook the greatest place in the world to live- and to me that has to include yoga and Pilates!

Tone Muscle & Increase Core Strength
Reduce Pain
Increase Mobility & Flexibility
Increase Joint Stability
Increase Body Awareness

Pilates
Pilates is low-impact exercise designed to tone muscle, increase joint range of motion and overall mobility, improve posture and flexibility, and decrease and prevent pain.

Exercises in Pilates are not simple. When practicing Pilates, each exercise has a certain way to breathe, certain things you should be doing with your core, as well as many other elements. For this reason, Pilates (and specifically Reformer Pilates) is often taught in a private or small group setting. Learning Pilates is a process, but once you have Pilates in your life, you will never be the same.

Yoga
Yoga is a practice of self discovery and improvement. When we do yoga, we challenge ourselves both physically and mentally.

Yoga improves physical and mental stamina from postures that we flow through while we breathe, or hold for extended periods of time. When we focus on what our body is doing and how we are breathing, we shut out all other thoughts and anxieties. Yoga allows a moving meditation to look inward and love and improve yourself; mind, body, and spirit.
